The position is located at Acreo AB in Kista near Stockholm, an area prominent for academic and industrial research. A sustainable basis for food, health and environment are among the main themes of research and education of Wageningen University and Research Centre. Vi söker en engagerad mjukvaruutvecklare till en nyinrättad tjänst på skolan. We are looking for an enthusiastic software developer to a new position at the school. The position includes participation in the development of a tool that is used both as a support for decision makers in the design of business support information and tools in the teaching going on at the Department of Industrial Information and Control Systems. The project is conducted in close cooperation with the international research community for Enterprise Architecture. The research group's excellent contacts with industry also provide access to an extensive network of practitioners in the field.
Applicants should have a PhD degree or soon receive one in a relevant scientific field. We are particularly looking for candidates with a proven strong background in either simulations of turbulent flows and experience/interest in large scale numerical simulations, or background in experimental fluid dynamics with focus on data processing. Experience in handling large data sets, and running on parallel computers is advantageous.

The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Department of Chemistry, invites motivated applicants for a PhD position within the area of organic synthetic chemistry. The position is foreseen filled by August 2012. The planned work will comprise investigations of gold catalysis in organic synthesis, aiming at the development of new gold(I) catalyzed reactions. The project will also include gold catalysis in the preparation of biological active target molecules.
I arbetsuppgifterna ingår utbildning på forskarnivå fram till doktorsexamen i byggteknik motsvarande högst 4 års heltidsstudier. Arbetet omfattar studier av trä och/eller träbaserade byggprodukters mekaniska egenskaper med hjälp av matematiska beräkningsmodeller (finita element) och experimentella undersökningar. Exempel på tillämpningsområden som den aktuella forskargruppen för närvarande arbetar inom är: hållfasthetssortering av konstruktionsvirke, horisontalstabilisering av träbyggnader, vibrationer och akustik i lätta bjälklag, brottmekanik, förbandsteknik, limmade konstruktionselement och glas- och trä i bärande konstruktioner. Inom något av dessa eller närliggande områden kommer studierna att genomföras. Minst 80 % av anställningen fullgörs i form av egen forskarutbildning i enlighet med individuell studieplan vid Institutionen för teknik, avdelningen för byggteknik. Högst 20 % av anställningen avser undervisning och administration av ämnet.
We are now looking forward to employ a new hydrological scientist for long-term cooperative development of a major research field: the development of existing hydrological model codes, both in traditional hydrological models and coupled climate-hydrology systems. You will work on method development, test of new process descriptions, handling of program structures and data flow in model systems, to increase transparency and reproducibility of results and uncertainties. The position is permanent at our Norrköping office, starting 1 September 2012.

The activities consist of own research, courses and seminars. Also other tasks are included to a limited extent, such as teaching and administration. A PhD candidate within the Industrial production research area is primarily involved in teaching in the various programs and courses provided by the department of Industrial Engineering and Management.
